Legato Lick in E Minor

Skills used: legato, vibrato, bending

I was asked to demonstrate this one slowly after posting it to Instagram (@eric_the_bourassa).

Start with a 3-note-per-string Em/G Major scale (vertical Box 3 in major) at the 7th fret of the G string, plucking only during string changes. As you come back to the second string, bend the 10th fret up a whole step twice (but only pick once).

Next, using the open B string as a pedal tone and a pivot point to make position shifting easier, ascend the Em Pentatonic scale on the 2nd string, climaxing into a whole-step bend at the 15th fret. Add vibrato to taste!
