I don’t know about you but I’m ready for a weekend of no activities! Halloween did me in last week. But if you’re jonesing for something to get you out of the house Nov 5-7, here’s a few ideas:
Robert Cray LIVE
Billy Bob’s has no shortage of talent coming through this fall. Case in point- Robert Cray is here Friday night. He’s a blues guitarist and singer that’s been making music for decades. He doesn’t play til 10pm but tickets are only $16 general admission. Get tickets for Robert Cray here
Sundance Square Live Music
Downtown Ft Worth has live music this Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday from 6-9pm. See performers in picture below. If you’re in the mood for jazz or flamenco and free events, this is for you. Plus the kiddos can run around without breaking anything (but I bet my kids could destroy that challenge).
Dallas Comic Show
With the slim pickings in Fort Worth this weekend, we turn to our neighbors in Lewisville for Dallas Comic Show at Music City Hall. This year features actors from Twin Peaks, comic book artists, and lots of vendors selling comics, toys, and other pop culture artifacts.
It’s a fun, inexpensive event and my kids and I always have fun at these.
Movies- Ron’s Gone Wrong
Apparently this movie is great. I’m looking forward to taking my kids to see it. As always, I prefer AMC Clearfork. Clean, upscale, and the nicest theater seating I’ve ever experienced. Perfect for napping while the kids binge popcorn and candy.
A light week for Fort Worth events BUT…
Ok, so I guess I’m not the only one who needed a break this weekend. There’s not much going on, and believe me, I SCOURED the Internet for family-friendly activities. Our great instructor Rowdy is playing with his band Arenda Light Friday at Lola’s. They’re joined by Cut Throat Finches who let 10 lucky students of Fort Worth Music Academy play with them onstage Feb 2020. Both worth checking out (but maybe leave the kids at home).
