Is it the weekend already? Oh, right, my kids only went to school 4 days. That’s ok, we’re prepped for the weekend with these 5 kid-friendly things happening in our great city:
Guitar Show in Arlington
I am giddy with excitement. This will be my first visit to this guitar show that I have missed every year until now. Family-friendly? Yes. Will I be taking my kids? We’ll see… 😉 Check out ‘Guitarlington’ here.
Live Music in the Square
Sundance Square, one of my favorite places in Fort Worth (I mean really, how cool is our downtown?), has live music Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday. It’s jazz tonight and tomorrow. Sunday looks like zydeco (if you’re not sure what that is, hear the Squeezebox Bandits here)
Fall Festival at Tulips
Music venue Tulips (hottest new venue in Ft Worth?) is having a family and pet-friendly Halloween Market Sunday at noon. There’s a pumpkin decorating contest, food, and vendors. Oh, and it’s FREE!
Rahr & Sons ‘Sip and Shop’ Craft Fair
50 vendors. Art. Crafts. Beer. Family-friendly. Free. And it’s all happening at Rahr Brewery this Sunday 12-5pm. Take a brewery tour while you’re at it.
Christmas in Cowtown
I don’t know what this is or what it’s all about but sometimes my wife goes and she seems to like it. Christmas shopping in October? This year it makes sense more than ever with predicted supply chain shortages for the holiday season. Let’s get that holiday season shopping done now at Christmas in Cowtown!
Melissa Etheridge
Wow does Billy Bob’s know how to bring in the talent. Catch music legend Melissa Etheridge Friday Oct 15th at Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth over in the Stockyards. Looks like tonight she might be coming to your window… see what I did there?
BONUS Ongoing Weekday Activities
Altitude Trampoline Park, tucked behind the Cityview complex on Bryant Irvin, has happy hour jumping Mon-Fri until January $10 from 2-5pm. Before or after your music lessons with us, head south just a few miles and get the wiggles out of your kids before dinner!
